In January 2016, Sanda Meat Center, which slaughters and processes halal Kobe Beef, was officially approved by the United Arab Emirates as a slaughterhouse that can provide halal meat for export to the UAE. The certification came after an inspection of the facility by a UAE government organization at the end of 2015. Then, on March 10th, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare registered the facility as a meat processing establishment qualified to provide meat for export to the UAE. With the necessary procedures completed in both Japan and the UAE, Kobe Beef can now be exported to the halal market.

Before long, Kobe Beef will captivate the palate of people in the Muslim world and beyond.
